Eight of these are selected by DIP switches l-6 to l-8 and the remaining five (Japan, Norway, Denmark II, Spain II and Latin America) can be selected with the ESC R command, which is described in the Command Summary. For the characters available in each character set, see Appendix B. In IBM printer emulation mode, you can select only two character sets; the standard character set (Table 1) and the international character set (Table 2). You can see the differences by looking at the IBM character tables in Appendix B. There is also a command to let you print any of the characters in the international character set and several additional characters. Together these form the symbol set.
