Replace the Power Cord (Optional) Continued Perform this step only if the power cord shipped on the range does not match your wall receptacle. 3-Wire Power Cord Installation Option WARNING: The neutral or ground wire of the power cord must be connected to the neutral terminal located in the center of the terminal block. The power leads must be connected to the lower left and the lower right terminals of the terminal block. Locate the copper ground strap on the lower back of the range. Loosen the upper center screw on the terminal block. Slide the open slotted end of the ground strap under the upper center screw on the terminal block. Make sure the ground strap is all the way against the upper center screw and tighten it in place. Place the ground plate (removed earlier) over the bottom of the ground strap, press them against the range frame and attach them with the ground screw (removed earlier). Insert the new power cord through the strain relief. Allow enough slack to easily attach the wires to the terminal block. Insert the 3 terminal screws (removed earlier) through each power cord terminal ring and into the lower terminals of the terminal block. Be certain that the center wire (white/neutral) is connected to the center lower position of the terminal block. Tighten screws securely (approximately 20 inch-lbs.) into the terminal block. Secure the strain relief in place in the bracket by tightening the strain relief screws.
