Page 9 highlights

Connecting Water Supply Route the tubing: Route the tubing between the cold water line and the refrigerator. Route the tubing through a hole drilled in the wall or floor (behind the refrigerator or adjacent to its base cabinet) as close to the wall as possible. Be sure there is sufficient extra tubing (about 8 feet [2.4m] rolled into 3 turns of 10 inches[25cm] each) to allow the refrigerator to move out from the wall after installation. Connect tubing to the valve: Connect the compression nut and the copper sleeve to the end of tubing, and connect it to the shutoff valve. Make sure the tubing is pushed into the valve as far as it will go, then tighten the nut securely. According to Commonwealth of Massachusetts plumbing codes CMR248, saddle valves are illegal and use of it is prohibited. Please consult a licensed plumber. Flush the tubing: Turn on the main water supply valve to flush water through the tubing until water is clear. Shut off the valve when about 1 quart (1L) water has been flushed through the tubing. Connect tubing to the refrigerator: Before carrying out further action, make sure the power plug is not connected to wall outlet. NOTE 1. Remove the compression nut from the water valve; 2. Push the end of tubing onto the water valve, then, tighten it with the nut. - 8 -
