The upper two power cords are reserved for an optional second controller. In case of a failure of the power source for one cord, the power requirements, and therefore the current requirement for the remaining power cord, will double. If you have multiple power sources, such as a UPS, connect two of the power cords for each cabinet to each power source for maximum protection from power outages.
