Speakers To remove the speakers, use this procedure and illustration. Table 5-5 Speaker description and part number Description Speakers (include left and right speakers and cables) Spare part number M55117-001 Before removing the speakers, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 29). 2. Remove the top cover/keyboard (see Top cover/keyboard on page 29). 3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 34). Remove the speakers: 1. Disconnect the speaker cable (1) from the system board. 2. Release the speaker cable (2) from the retention clips built into the base enclosure. 3. Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 4.2 screws (3) that secure the speakers to the computer. 4. Remove the speakers (4) . Reverse this procedure to install the speakers. Connector board cables To remove the connector board cables, use this procedure and illustration.
