Turn off the computer properly through the operating system and turn off any external devices. 2. Hardware Upgrades There are four DIMM sockets on the system board, with two sockets per channel. The sockets are labeled XMM1, XMM2, XMM3, and XMM4. Sockets XMM1 and XMM2 operate in memory channel A. Drive Installation Guidelines ✎ If you have only one device, make sure to connect it to the Device 0 connector. If you connect it to the Device 1 connector, the system will not recognize the device and you may receive a "no fixed disk found" error message.
