Figure 2: WS-Man Overview On receiving an indication from CAE, the WS-Man daemon running on HP Superdome 2 OA will iterate over its list of event subscribers. For each subscriber it will connect to that subscriber and deliver the event indication information directly from WS-Man daemon. Network applications, such as WEBES and HP SIM create subscriptions to WS-Man daemon which stores the subscription in the subscription database. The WS-Man daemon does not actively manage these subscriptions (add, delete, verify, etc.) rather the subscribing application need to manage their own subscriptions. TEST WSMAN TEST WSMAN command from the OA CLI sends a test WS-Management notification to subscribed clients for end-to-end verification. End-to-End Verification CAE Event Viewer: Will see an Informational test event with the Summary string "This is a test event." HP SIM: WS-MAN indication can be viewed in HP SIM. ALERTMAIL: Will receive an E-mail with subject HP AlertMail: (INFORMATION) This is a test event. SNMP: Subscribed clients will receive a SNMP Trap and can be viewed from HP SIM WEBES: The customers can view the test event in the WEBES SEA Web GUI User Interfaces and Management Notifications CAE Event Viewer CAE Event Viewer/SHOW CAE is a tool, which facilitates viewing indications that were raised during hardware diagnosis by the SD2 Analysis Engine. 6
