Power connector cable NOTE: The power connector cable spare part kit does not include the power connector cable bracket. The power connector cable bracket is available using spare part number 924421-001. Description Power connector cable (does not include bracket) Spare part number 808155-018 Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the keyboard/top cover (see Keyboard/top cover on page 27), and then remove the following components: a. Battery (see Battery on page 34) b. Speakers (see Speakers on page 38) c. System board (see System board on page 42) Remove the power connector cable: 1. Lift the right side of the power connector cable bracket (1) to release the bracket from the power connector. 2. Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:
1.

Remove the power connector cable:
1.
Lift the right side of the power connector cable bracket

to release the bracket from
the power connector.
