Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 23). 5. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 25). 6. Remove the solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 29). Remove the power connector cable: 1. Disconnect the power connector cable from the system board (1). 2. Release the power connector cable from the retention clips (2) built into the keyboard/top cover. 3. Remove the two Phillips M2.5×5.7 screws (3) that secure the display right hinge to the keyboard/top cover. 4. Swing the display right hinge (4) up and back. 5. Remove the power connector cable (5). Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:
1.
