LED board Description LED board Spare part number 640293-001 Before removing the LED board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 48), and then remove the following components: ● Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 49) ● Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 51) ● WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 54) ● Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 56) ● Top cover (see Top cover on page 59) ● System board (see System board on page 72) Remove the LED board: 1. Release the clips (1) built into the base enclosure that secure the LED board. 2. Release the LED board cable (2) from the base enclosure. (The LED board cable is attached to the base enclosure with double-sided tape.) Component replacement procedures 87
