Grounded (Earthed) Products Some products are equipped with a three-wire electrical grounding-type plug that has a third pin for grounding. This plug only fits into a grounded electrical outlet. This is a safety feature. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the grounding-type plug by trying to insert it into a non-grounded outlet. If you cannot insert the plug into the outlet, contact your electrician to replace the obsolete outlet. Power Sources The product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the product's electrical ratings label. If you have questions about the type of power source to use, contact your HP authorized service provider or local power company. For a product that operates from battery power or other power sources, the operating instructions are included with the product. Accessibility Be sure that the power outlet you plug the power cord into is easily accessible and located as close to the equipment operator as possible. When you need to disconnect power to the equipment, be sure to unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet. Voltage Select Switch Ensure that the voltage select switch, if provided on the product, is in the correct position for the type of voltage in your country (115 VAC or 230 VAC). Internal Battery Your computer may contain an internal battery-powered real-time clock circuit. Do not attempt to recharge the battery, disassemble it, immerse it in water, or dispose of it in fire.
