Problem Possible cause Solution The camera does not turn on. (continued) The HP AC adapter is not connected to the camera, or is not plugged into a power outlet. Ensure that the HP AC power adapter is: z connected to the power adapter connector of the camera z plugged into a working electrical outlet The HP AC power adapter is not functioning correctly. Ensure that the HP AC adapter is not damaged or defective and is plugged into a working electrical outlet. The memory Remove the memory card. card is defective or contains corrupt images. I replace the camera batteries frequently. The NiMH batteries you are using were recharged incorrectly, or have drained on their own because they have not been used lately. When NiMH batteries are brand new or have not been used in several months, they should be charged and fully drained 3-4 times to reach optimum capacity. Also, NiMH batteries discharge on their own when not in use and when not installed in the camera.
