Removal and replacement procedures Computer feet The computer feet are adhesive-backed rubber pads. The feet are included in the Rubber Kit, spare part number 493274-001. There are 5 rubber feet that attach to the base enclosure in the locations illustrated below. Battery Description 4-cell, 2.55-Ah (37-Wh) Li-ion battery Spare part number 493202-001 Before disassembling the computer, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. Remove the battery: 1. Turn the computer upside down on a flat surface, with the battery bay toward you. 2. Slide the battery release latch 1 to release the battery. 3. Remove the battery 2 from the computer. Computer feet
The computer feet are adhesive-backed rubber pads. The feet are included in the Rubber Kit, spare part number
493274-001. There are 5 rubber feet that attach to the base enclosure in the locations illustrated below.
Battery
Before disassembling the computer, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on,
and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
Remove the battery:
1. Turn the computer upside down on a flat surface, with the battery bay toward you.
