Managing Storage Arrays Component Management Station Network Management Station (Optional) Host Storage Array Description A computer used to manage Storage Arrays on the network. The management station can be either a remote computer, or the host to which the Storage Array is connected. A Network Management Station (NMS) is a console with installed SNMPcompliant network management software that receives and processes information about managed network devices using SNMP (Simple Network Messaging Protocol). The storage management software sends critical alerts (using SNMP trap messages) if you configure destinations using the option in the Enterprise Management Window. The computer to which the Storage Array is connected over a Fibre Channel I/O connection.
