Configuring Storage Arrays View Topology Mappings Description The Topology View shows defined topological elements (host ports, hosts, host groups) and the Default Host Group. You must define topological elements if you are going to use Storage Partitions. However, even if you are not planning to use Storage Partitions, you can use the Topology View to define hosts and the Mappings View to show the default LUN numbers used to access volumes in the Storage Array. The Mappings View displays the default and/or specific volume-to-LUN mappings in the Storage Array, in table form. Information displayed about the volumes includes: Topological entity that can access the volume, volume name, unique volume identifier, and LUN number used to access the volume. 26 CONFIGURING STORAGE ARRAYS
