SET MODE 7 D Auto scan function " " The auto scan function starts the desired scan automatically when no signal is received, and no operation is performed for 30 sec. Auto scan OFF Push Auto scan ON D Dual/Tri-watch function "" This item selects dual or tri-watch as desired. See p. 16 for details. Push Dualwatch (default) Tri-watch D Monitor key action " " The monitor key action cuts off the squelch function tem- porarily. This key action contains PUSH (Pu) or HOLD (Ho) settings as shown below. • Pu (PUSH): After pushing [ ] for 1 sec., the squelch opens and emits audio. The squelch is held open while continu- ously pushing and holding [ ]. (default) • Ho (HOLD): After pushing [ ] for 1 sec., the squelch opens and emits audio even [ ] is released. To close the squelch, push any key. 7 Push Push setting (default) Hold setting D Backlight function " " This function is convenient for nighttime operation.
