7 SETUP/MAINTENANCE Installing the Front Shroud/Battery Retention Bracket and Rear Shroud ƽ CAUTION Wheelchairs with TRRO or TRBKTS Only - Battery retention brackets MUST be installed at all times. Otherwise, the wheelchair will not be WC/19 compliant. After installing front shroud, ensure that the mounting screws on the front shroud/battery retention bracket are fully engaged into the battery box.  For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 1 on page 83. 1. Reinstall the front shroud/battery retention bracket onto front of wheelchair frame. 2. Install two mounting screws on the sides of the front shroud/battery retention bracket. ƽ CAUTION When installing batteries, ensure battery connector is securely engaged to the controller connector - otherwise serious personal injury may result. 3. Wheelchairs with Footboards Only: Using the mounting screw and washer, secure the footboard support to the wheelchair frame. 4. Connect the controller to the batteries at the rear of the wheelchair. 5. Reinstall the rear shroud and secure in place with three mounting screws.  New Batteries MUST be fully charged before using, otherwise the life of the battery(ies) will be reduced. 6. Installing the Front Shroud/Battery Retention Bracket and Rear Shroud
1.
Reinstall the front shroud/battery retention bracket onto front of wheelchair frame.
2.
Install two mounting screws on the sides of the front shroud/battery retention bracket
.
3.
Wheelchairs with Footboards Only: Using the mounting screw and washer, secure the footboard support to the wheelchair frame.
4.
Connect the controller to the batteries at the rear of the wheelchair.
5.
Reinstall the rear shroud and secure in place with three mounting screws.
6.
If necessary, charge the batteries. Refer to Charging Batteries
on page 56.
