Setting Values Description AUTO Records "Stereo", "Surround" or "Dual broadcast" audio sounds as they are. FIXED Records "Stereo" and "Surround" sounds in "Stereo". Memo: v Surround sounds of a title become stereo sounds when re- encode dubbing is performed. m AUTO MARKING During direct recording to a recording media (HDD or optical disc), you can append chapters by adding a mark at a fixed interval of 10 minutes or 1 hour. Setting Values Description OFF Disables addition of chapters. 10 MINUTES Adds chapters at 10-minute intervals. 1 HOUR Adds chapters at 1-hour intervals. Memo: v Regardless of whether "AUTO MARKING" is set to "OFF", "10 MINUTES", or "1 HOUR", you can perform manual marking using the Mark button on the remote control. During manual marking, an on-screen message is displayed regardless of the "ON SCREEN GUIDE" setting under "DISPLAY".
