Chapter 2. Learning the basics Consult your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and search the Windows Help and Support Center for details on how to configure your computer. Help and support If you have questions about using the Windows operating system, refer to Windows Help and Support. To access Windows Help and Support: • For the Windows 7 operating system: Click Start Help and Support. • For the Windows 8.1 operating system: ‐ Open the charms bar and select Settings, and then select Help on the Settings menu. ‐ Press the Windows key + Fn + F1 or Fn + F1. You can read the Windows Help and Support file on your computer. You can also get online help and support by clicking on one of the two links listed under More to explore. Note: Windows 8.1 also provides an app, Help + Tips. You can find it on the Start screen, to learn more information on new features of Windows 8.1. 17
