Appendix A. CRU instructions Replacing the battery pack Note: • Use only the battery provided by Lenovo. Any other batteries could ignite or explode. • Make sure the computer is turned off and all the cables disconnected from the computer before you replace the battery pack. • Make sure the computer display is closed to avoid being damaged. To replace the battery pack, do the following: 1 Unlock the manual battery latch a . While holding the spring‐loaded battery latch in the unlocked position b , remove the battery pack in the direction shown by the arrow c . 1 1 2 3 2 2 Install a fully charged battery pack. 3 Slide the manual battery latch to the locked position. 31

To
replace
the
battery
pack,
do
the
following:
1
Unlock
the
manual
battery
latch
.
While
holding
the
spring
‐
loaded
battery
latch
in
the
unlocked
position
,
remove
the
battery
pack
in
the
direction
shown
by
the
arrow
.

Install
a
fully
charged
battery
pack.
3
Slide
the
manual
battery
latch
to
the
locked
position.
Note:
•
Use
only
the
battery
provided
by
Lenovo.
Any
other
batteries
could
ignite

explode.

sure
