Function key combinations To use the Fn function key combinations, press and hold the Fn key 1 ; then press one of the function keys 2 . Release both keys. Volume and mute buttons To quickly adjust the volume of the sound from your computer, mute the sound entirely, or set the microphone to mute, press one of the following key combinations. • Fn+Esc: Speaker mute • Fn+F1: Speaker volume down • Fn+F2: Speaker volume up • Fn+F3: Microphone mute Note: If you mute the sound before you turn off the computer, the sound will remain muted when you turn on your computer again. To unmute the sound, press the speaker volume up or speaker volume down key combination. Power conservation • Fn+F4 Put your computer into sleep mode. To resume normal operation, press the Fn key only. If you want to use this key combination to put the computer into hibernation mode or do-nothing mode, change the settings in the Power Manager program. Wireless features • Fn+F5 Press Fn+F5 to enable or disable the built-in wireless features. When you press this key combination, a list of wireless features is displayed. You can quickly change the state of each feature on the list. Volume and mute buttons
To quickly adjust the volume of the sound from your computer, mute the sound entirely, or set the
microphone to mute, press one of the following key combinations.
Fn+Esc:
Speaker mute
Fn+F1:
Speaker volume down
Fn+F2:
Speaker volume up
Fn+F3:
Microphone mute
Note:
If you mute the sound before you turn off the computer, the sound will remain muted when you
