Troubleshooting Check these questions first if you have problems with your handset: Question Is your battery charged? Do you have a valid USIM card inserted? Does the handset have a network signal? Is the earpiece volume too low? Is the other party unable to hear you? Answer The battery level indicator in the status bar should show at least one bar ( ). If it does not, recharge your battery. See "Charging the Battery" on page 19. If necessary, turn off the handset and make sure you have inserted a valid USIM card. See "Installing the USIM Card" on page 16. The signal strength indicator in the status bar should show at least one bar. If it does not, move to an area with a stronger signal. While on a call, press the top of the Volume key on the left side of the handset. Your microphone may be muted. See "Muting Microphone" on page 44. Also, make sure that the microphone is not blocked by its carrying case or a sticker. Troubleshooting - 127

Troubleshooting
Check these questions first if you have problems with your handset:

Is the earpiece
volume too
low?
While on a call, press the top of the
Volume key on the left side of the
handset.
Is the other
party unable to
hear you?
Your microphone may be muted. See
“Muting Microphone” on page 44.
Also, make sure that the microphone
is not blocked by its carrying case or
a sticker.
