User Manual NAVIGON Mobile Navigator 9.5 Route Profile In the ROUTE PROFILE window, settings are carried out that influence the appearance and the functionality of the map and the navigation software. You can carry out the following settings on the ROUTE PROFILE window: Setting Speed Profile Type of Route Meaning and possible values Determine your means of transport. This setting is important for calculating route and arrival times. Fast car Standard car Slow car Motorcycle: Bendy routes are preferred. Truck: Avoid through streets as much as possible. Bicycle: One-way streets are often inapplicable to cyclists. Pedestrian: Traffic regulations that apply only to vehicles are not taken into consideration. Establish which sort of route should be calculated. Fast route: calculates the quickest route for the set speed profile. Optimum route: Calculates the quickest route if the detour to be driven is sensible in terms of the time saved. Short route: calculates the shortest route. Scenic route: prefers winding streets that are nice to drive. Consider Traffic Information Determine if the traffic messages are to be considered in the route calculation (Yes) or (No). If necessary, you can determine how traffic messages are to be considered separately. For detailed instructions, please refer to chapter "Managing TMC information", page 79. Factory-setting is Yes. Note: In order to receive traffic messages (TMC) you will need a TMC-receiver. TMC may not be available everywhere! Configuring Mobile Navigator - 91 -
