Shooting, Playback and Setup Menus Basic Camera Setup: The Setup Menu f Date Imprint Press the d button M z (Setup menu) (A 112) M f Date imprint The date and time of recording can be imprinted directly onto pictures, allowing the information to be printed even from printers that do not support date printing (A 91). Off (default setting) Date and time are not imprinted on pictures. Date Date is imprinted on the bottom right corner of pictures taken while this option is in effect. At settings other than Off, the icon for the current setting is displayed in the monitor (A 6). B Date Imprint • Imprinted dates form a permanent part of image data and cannot be deleted. Date cannot be imprinted on pictures after they are taken. • Dates imprinted at an Image mode setting (A 93) of O TV screen (640) may be difficult to read. Choose N PC screen (1024) or larger when using date imprint. • The date is recorded using the format selected in the setup menu's Date item (A 16, 115). • Date imprint cannot be used together with Electronic VR (A 113). Selecting date imprint while Electronic VR is set to Auto automatically changes Electronic VR to Off. • The date is not imprinted in the following situations: - pictures taken in Sports (A 35), Museum (A 38), or Panorama assist (A 39) scene mode - pictures taken with On selected for Blink proof (A 46) in smile mode - pictures taken with Continuous or BSS selected for the Continuous setting in the shooting menu (A 97) - movies (A 70) C Date Imprint and Print Set When printing from DPOF-compatible printers which support printing of shooting date and photo information, the date and information can be printed on pictures without date and time imprinted on them, using options in the Print set menu (A 90). 119
