Clearing Paper Jams Rear-Feed Paper Jams 1 Turn off the printer. 2 Use the platen knob to back the paper all the way out of the printer. CAUTION! Make sure the printer is turned off before you open the access cover. 3 Open the access cover (1) and remove the pull-up roller assembly (2). Remove any torn pieces of paper. 4 Lift the sheet guide (1) and reload paper. Make sure you lock the tractor covers. 5 Lower the sheet guide, then install the pull-up roller assembly and close the access cover. 54 Microline 490/491 User's Guide 6 Turn on the printer and press FF/LOAD.

Turn off the printer.

Use the platen knob to back the paper all the way out of the
printer.
CAUTION!
Make sure the printer is turned off before you open the access
cover.

Open the access cover (1) and remove the pull-up roller
assembly (2). Remove any torn pieces of paper.

Lift the sheet guide (1) and reload paper. Make sure you
lock the tractor covers.

Lower the sheet guide, then install the pull-up roller
assembly and close the access cover.

Turn on the printer and press
FF/LOAD
