Ⅵ Exposure Compensation En Mode dial setting This function allows you to make fine changes to the present exposure setting. In some situations, you may get better results when the exposure that the camera sets is compensated (adjusted) manually. You can adjust between ±2.0 in 1/3 steps. Adjusts towards - (images become darker) É Adjusts towards + í (images become brighter) Ⅵ Manual focus Mode dial setting 1 Hold down for more than 1 second. When the focus distance selection screen appears on the monitor, press í to select MF. 2 Press Ññ to select the focus distance. ● During operation, you can enlarge the area you are focusing on. The lengths shown are for reference only. When the length indicator is moved to less than 2 m (6.6 ft), the bar display automatically switches to the 10 cm (4 inches)-2 m (6.6 ft) bar display. 3 Hold down for more than 1 second to save the setting. 4 Press the shutter button to take a picture. ● Focus is locked at the distance you have set. 5 To cancel the saved MF setting, hold down again for more than 1 second to display the focus distance selection screen. 6 To return to the AF mode, press É to select AF, then press . ● Manual focus is canceled. 37
