Setting limitations and Default settings (AF mode) The setting for the AF mode differs depending on the shooting mode concerned as shown below. Mode dial (Mode menu) S-Prg P A/S/M/ Setting limitation (-: Not available) - iESP or SPOT is available. Factory default setting iESP ● No selection other than the default setting iESP is available for the S-Prg mode. For P and A/S/M/ modes, the setting can be changed between iESP and SPOT. However, the change in one shooting mode is forcibly applied to the other shooting modes. FULLTIME AF - Continuous focusing for sports, action and fast moving subjects FULLTIME AF keeps the image on the monitor in focus at all times, without having to press the shutter button halfway. This function reduces focusing time. Turn on the monitor (P. 81).
If the monitor is not on, Fulltime AF does not function.
FULLTIME AF keeps the image on the monitor in focus at all times, without
having to press the shutter button halfway. This function reduces focusing
time. When OFF is selected, images cannot be focused unless the shutter
button is pressed halfway.
