E Displaying the menu guide METERING Sets picture brightness for taking pictures. With a menu item highlighted, press and hold down E to display the menu guide. Checking the time While the camera is off, press DISP./E to display the set alarm time (when [ALARM CLOCK] is set) and the current time for 3 seconds. g Arrow pad (124 3) Use the arrow pad to select scenes, playback picture, and the items on the menus. h 4& button Shooting pictures close to the subject (Macro mode) Press 4& in shooting mode to select the macro mode. Press o to confirm your selection. OFF & % Macro mode off Macro mode Super macro mode Macro mode is deactivated. This mode lets you shoot as close as 10 cm/3.9 in. (wide) from your subject. This mode lets you shoot as close as 1 cm/0.4 in. from your subject. i 1 z button Using this button as custom button This allows you to register a frequently used function (except h, n and g) to 1 z. Once registered, you can set the settings directly with the button instead of displaying the screen from the menu. The default setting is [OFF].
