6-27. When Installing the Indoor Unit Confirm that the indoor unit should be installed in a horizontal position. Use the level gauge or vinyl tube and check every four corner of the unit is in horizontal. If the air outlet duct flange is positioned with downward gradient, there is in danger of water splash or drainage. Also, dust may sometimes be contaminated inside the drain pan caused by the residual drain water. Install the air outlet duct flange side in horizontal or upward and within the range of 3/8" in the upward direction. Never install it with a downward gradient against horizontal. Level gauge 1.
