Changing the drive letter
You can change the drive letter for the DVD-ROM & CD-R/RW drive or hard disk drive
by the following steps.
The C drive cannot be changed.
The drive letter for A Drive, B Drive and C Drive cannot be changed. You also can-
not use a drive letter that is currently being used by another device, or a drive letter
that has already been allocated to a network drive.
Changing the hard disk drive letter
A
Click [start] - [Control Panel] - [Performance and Maintenance] - [Admin-
istrative Tools], and double-click [Computer Management].
B
Click [Disk Management] in [Storage].
C
Right-click a partition of the hard disk, and click [Change Drive Letter and Paths]
.
D
Click [Change].
E
Click [Assign the following drive letter], select a drive letter, then click [OK].
F
Click [Yes] when the confirmation message is displayed.
