Taking Pictures Zoom/w/x lever Four-way controller 4 button 3 button Using the Zoom You can use the zoom to change the captured area. 4 1 Turn the Zoom/w/x lever in A mode. Zoom lever (w) :Diminishes the subject (Wide). Zoom lever (x) :enlarges the subject. As you continue to turn the lever, the camera automatically switches from optical zoom to intelligent zoom. Once the lever is released and turned Zoom bar again, the camera switches to Digital Zoom. 38 25.5 x Zoom ratio The zoom bar is displayed as follow. Zoom in with high image quality. Zoom in with some degree of image deterioration. Optical zoom range*1 Intelligent Digital Zoom Zoom range*2 range *1 You can zoom in to a maximum of 5x optically. *2 The Intelligent Zoom range differs depending on the recorded pixels.
