S IL: Regular Straight Stitching a) with standard sewing foot 847495 (pic tured at bottom right on page 6) You may use this foot for both straight and zigzag stitching. For all normal sewing work on tricot you should use no other than this foot. b) with straight stitch foot 847496. (Suited only for straight stitching with a single needle.) Foot No. 847496 will serve you for sewing F along edges at a distance of half the width of the foot. Edge StLtch:ng a) with edge stitcher 847602 and guide This foot is used with guide for making wider hems and maintaining an even line of stitching. After setting the guide, firmly tighten the clamp screw. The right edge of the material must be kept close to the guide (picture at left). This foot is used without g u ide when carrying out the following work: 1. Sewing very close to the edge of the material I 2. Laying several parallel stitch lines close together I 3. Sewing on zip-fasterners close to the edge of the material. This foot enables the stitch to be made along the edges of the material more accurately than with presser feet Nos. 847495 and 847496. 28 1
