Anti-Shake (OIS: Optical Image Stabilizer) Use the Anti-shake (OIS: Optical Image Stabilizer) function to compensate for unstable images caused by shaking movements when holding the camcorder. To decrease shake, hold the camcorder firmly with both hands. • When this function is On, the actual movement of the subject and the movement displayed on the screen may be slightly different. • When you record in dark or dim light at high magnification while this function is On, after-images may stand out. If this occurs, we recommend using a tripod (not supplied) and turning Anti-shake (OIS) to Off. • When you turn on Smart Auto mode, it automatically turned off OIS(DUO) and OIS sets to On.

Understanding OIS DUO

When you turn on Smart Auto mode, it automatically sets Anti-shake
(OIS) to On.
The Anti-Shake (OIS) function may not correct gross camcorder
shake entirely. To decrease shake, hold the camcorder firmly with
both hands.
When this function is On, the actual movement of the subject and
the movement displayed on the screen may be slightly different.
When you record in dark or dim light at high magnification while
this function is On, after-images may stand out. If this occurs, we
recommend using a tripod (not supplied) and turning Anti-shake (OIS)
to Off.
