Useful adjustment settings Press TV MENU and the MENU screen displays. Press 4/1_ to select _ (LOCKS). Press A/Y. The password entering menu displays. Input the 4-digit password by using 0-9, then press ENTER. The LOCKS menu displays. Press A/V to select "V-CHIP SET", then press 4/_. The V-CHIP SET menu displays. Press A/Y to select "CAN ENG RATING". Then press _1/1_to select the desired rating. Repeat steps 1 to 5 in Canadian English ratings. Press A/V to select "CAN FRE RATING". Then press "_/1_ to select the desired rating. V-CHIP SET TV RATING OFF MOVIERATING CARENGRATING OFF t_ :SELECT L$_:ADJUST • See page 37 for setting details. Press RETURN, The LOCKS menu displays, Press A/Y to select "V-CHIP", then press 4/ I_ to select "ON". Your setting are now set into memory. • If"V-CHIP" is not set to "ON", the V-CHIP setting will not work. LOCKS V-CHIPSET V-CHIPSET(DTV} NEWPASSWORD The V-CHIP block is working and censors a broadcast, "THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN BLOCKED!" displays. Press MUTE while the V-CHIP is working and then the password entering menu displays. Enter your 4-digit password with 0-9. At this time V-CHIP block temporarily releases. You can reactivate the temporarily released V-CHIP block as shown below. Method 1 : Change to the other channel. Method 2: Switch off the TV/DVD power. t._ :SELECT i_ :ADJUST • Performing any of the two above will activate the V-CHIP block. Press EXIT to return to the normal screen. (_)= 38
