MP3 MPEG-1 Audio Layer-3 is a standard technology and format for compression a sound sequence into a very small file (about onetwelfth the size of the original file) while almost preserving the original level of sound quality when it is played. MPEG-4 The Moving Picture Experts Group, develops standards for digital video and digital audio compression. It operates under the auspices of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). MPEG-4 goes far beyond compression methods. Instead of treating the data as continuous streams, MPEG-4 deals with audio/video items that can be manipulated independently, allowing for interaction with the coded data and providing flexibility in editing.
