Recording Refer also to "Memory Stick Duo" (p. 96). Pressing START/STOP or PHOTO does not record images. • The playback screen is displayed. Set your camcorder to recording standby (p. 24). • Your camcorder is recording the image you have just shot on the hard disk. You cannot make new recording during this period (p. 24). • The hard disk of the camcorder is full. Delete unnecessary images (p. 38). • Total number of movies or still images exceeds the recordable capacity of your camcorder (p. 57, 110). Delete unnecessary images (p. 38). • While activating [DROP SENSOR] (p. 64), you may not record images. • The temperature of your camcorder is extremely high. Turn off your camcorder and leave it for a while in a cool place. • The temperature of your camcorder is extremely low. Turn off the camcorder and take it to a warm place. Leave the camcorder there for a while, then turn on the camcorder. You cannot record a still image. • The playback screen is displayed. Set your camcorder to recording standby (p. 24). • You can capture up to 3 still images only during movie recording (DCR-SR200/ SR300). • The "Memory Stick Duo" has run out of space. Use a new "Memory Stick Duo" or format the "Memory Stick Duo" (p. 50). Or delete the unnecessary images (p. 39). • You cannot record a still image together with: - [SMTH SLW REC] (DCR-SR200/ SR300) - [FADER] - [D.EFFECT] - [PICT.EFFECT] The ACCESS lamp remains lit even when you stop recording. • Your camcorder is recording the image you have just shot on the hard disk. The recording angle looks different. • Recording angle may vary depending on the condition of the camcorder. This is not a malfunction. The flash does not work (except for DCR-SR42). • You cannot record with the flash with: - Capturing still images while recording a movie - The conversion lens (optional) attached • Even if auto flash or (Auto redeye reduction) is selected, you cannot use the flash with: - NightShot - [SUPER NIGHTSHOT] - [TWILIGHT], [CANDLE], [SUNRIZE&SUNSET], [FIREWORKS], [LANDSCAPE], [SPOTLIGHT], [BEACH] or [SNOW] in [SCENE SELECTION] - [MANUAL] in [EXPOSURE] - [SPOT METER] The actual recording time for movie is less than the expected approximate recording time of the hard disk. • Depending on an object, such as a fast moving object, the time available for recording may shorten (p. 54).
