A vertical band appears when recording candlelight or electric light in the dark (DCR-SR42/SR62/SR82). • This occurs when the contrast between the subject and the background is too high. This is not a malfunction. Horizontal stripes appear on the image (DCR-SR200/SR300). • This occurs when recording images under a fluorescent lamp, sodium lamp, or mercury lamp. This is not a malfunction. A vertical white line may appear on an image taken in bright light (DCRSR42/SR62/SR82). • This phenomenon is called the smear effect. This is not a malfunction. Undesirable flicker occurs (DCRSR42/SR62/SR82). • This occurs when recording images under a fluorescent lamp, sodium lamp, or mercury lamp. This is not a malfunction. Black bands appear when you record a TV screen or computer screen (except for DCR-SR300). • Set [STEADYSHOT] to [OFF] (p. 55). [S. NIGHTSHOT PLS] cannot be operated (DCR-SR42/SR62/SR82). • Set the NIGHTSHOT PLUS switch to ON. [SUPER NIGHTSHOT] cannot be operated (DCR-SR200/SR300). • Set the NIGHTSHOT switch to ON. [COLOR SLOW SHTR] does not operate correctly. • [COLOR SLOW SHTR] may not operate correctly in total darkness. Use NightShot plus or [S. NIGHTSHOT PLS] (DCRSR42/SR62/SR82), NightShot or [SUPER NIGHTSHOT] (DCR-SR200/SR300). You cannot adjust [LCD BL LEVEL]. • You cannot adjust [LCD BL LEVEL] when: - The LCD panel is closed on your camcorder with the LCD screen facing out. - The power is supplied from the AC Adaptor. Playing back images on your camcorder Still images stored on a "Memory Stick Duo" cannot be played back. • Still images cannot be played back if you have modified files or folders, or have edited the data on a computer.
