Searching a recording by date - Date search You can automatically search for the point where the recording date changes and start playback from that point (Date search). Use the Remote Commander for this operation. Use this function to check where recording dates change or to edit the tape at each recording date. JUL 4 2001 JUL 5 2001 DEC 31 2001 [a] [b] [c] (1) Set the POWER switch to VCR. (2) Press SEARCH MODE on the Remote Commander repeatedly, until the date search indicator appears on the screen. The indicator changes as follows: DATE SEARCH t PHOTO SEARCH t PHOTO SCAN t (no indicator) (3) When the current position is [b], press . to search towards [a] or press > to search towards [c]. Your camcorder automatically starts playback at the point where the date changes. Each time you press . or >, the camcorder searches for the previous or next date. 2 SEARCH MODE DATE 00 SEARCH 3 DATE 01 SEARCH To stop searching Press x. Notes •The date search works only for tapes recorded in the Digital8 system. •If one day's recording is less than two minutes, your camcorder may not accurately find the point where the recording date changes.
