B Is the USB cable of the cradle connected to your computer? B Is the HotSync icon displayed in the task tray on the lower right of the screen of your computer? If not displayed, select Programs (In Windows XP, All Programs)Sony Handheld-HotSync Manager from the Start menu and start the HotSync Manager. B Is the check box of Local USB (displayed after clicking the HotSync icon) selected? Local USB needs to be checked. B Is the USB port active? Check whether the USB port operates normally by keeping other USB apparatus such as USB mouse. B When using terminal extension products for laptops such as port replicator, you may not be able to use either the port replicator or the USB port of your computer. B Quit applications other than Palm™ Desktop for CLIÉ software.
