Configuration of HD (High Definition) discs • The DVD Menu cannot be created. • Chapters (breakpoints of a video on the disc) are automatically created by scene between the point where you start and stop shooting on the camera. • An HD (High Definition) video disc cannot be previewed on the DVDirect's display window. About Photo discs About created photo DVDs • Photos are copied to the disc as JPEG files. File names are assigned to photos (JPEG files) in the order they are copied to the disc. • You can select to create a slideshow when finalizing a disc (page 59, 61), you can create a slideshow in addition to storing photos. • You can view the photo disc created with the DVDirect in the display window or view it using the DVD drive of a computer. And you can also view photos using a DVD player capable of playing JPEG files. A slideshow disc can be played on commercial DVD players. z Hint • The picture quality of the photos played back in a slideshow is equivalent to that of SD (Standard Definition) video. Using the DVD drive of a computer or DVD player capable of playing JPEG files, you can view photos in higher quality. b Notes • Up to 2000 photos can be copied to a disc. • You cannot copy both videos and photos together onto the same disc. Configuration of Slideshow discs Disc Title Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 99 10 photos • Slideshow discs consist of titles and chapters as SD (Standard Definition) discs. • A chapter is created for every 10 photos. • Up to 99 chapters per title can be created. 82
