About Photo discs About created photo DVDs • Photos are copied to the disc as JPEG files. File names are assigned to photos (JPEG files) in the order they are copied to the disc. • You can select to create a slideshow when finalizing a disc (page 59, 61), you can create a slideshow in addition to storing photos. • You can view the photo disc created with the DVDirect in the display window or view it using the DVD drive of a computer. And you can also view photos using a DVD player capable of playing JPEG files. A slideshow disc can be played on commercial DVD players. z Hint • The picture quality of the photos played back in a slideshow is equivalent to that of SD (Standard Definition) video.
