The Basics Answering a Call Answering a Call There are several ways to answer a call: Handset ➤ If your telephone is programmed for Ringing Line Preference, pick up the handset and the telephone automatically answers the ringing line. ➤ If not, press the button associated with the ringing line (flashing green LED). Speaker ➤ If your telephone is programmed for Ringing Line Preference, press 6SNU and the telephone automatically answers the ringing line. ➤ If not, press the button associated with the ringing line (flashing green LED). Once connected, you can continue on the speakerphone or lift the handset. Handsfree Answerback If you have a speakerphone, it may be programmed for Handsfree Answerback. You hear a single long tone, followed by the caller's voice. The extension LED flashes green (incoming call). The Mic LED lights steady red (microphone is active). The Spkr LED flashes red. 1. Do not lift the handset; speak toward the telephone in a normal voice. 2. Press 6SNU or take the handset off-hook before transferring the call or placing it on hold. Answering a Call
There are several ways to answer a call:
Handset
If your telephone is programmed for Ringing Line Preference, pick up the handset
and the telephone automatically answers the ringing line.
If not, press the button associated with the ringing line (flashing green LED).
Speaker
If your telephone is programmed for Ringing Line Preference, press
6SNU
and the
telephone automatically answers the ringing line.
If not, press the button associated with the ringing line (flashing green LED). Once
connected, you can continue on the speakerphone or lift the handset.
Handsfree Answerback
If you have a speakerphone, it may be programmed for Handsfree Answerback. You
hear a single long tone, followed by the caller
s voice. The extension LED flashes
green (incoming call). The Mic LED lights steady red (microphone is active). The
Spkr LED flashes red.
