Learning the Basics Using the optical drive 95 Media control buttons (Available on certain models) The media control buttons (available on certain models) located to the left of the keyboard let you access the Internet when the computer is on or off, and play audio CDs or DVD movies when the computer is off. You can also use them to play CDs and DVDs when the computer is on. Power button Internet browser* CD/DVD* Play/Pause* Stop* Next track* Previous track* *Available on certain models (Sample Illustration) Media Control buttons The Internet browser button lets you access the Internet when the computer is powered on or off, or is in Standby mode or Hibernation mode. Please refer to "Connecting to the Internet" on page 135. The following chart describes the functionality of the Internet browser button. Power is off or the computer is in Hibernation mode and you press the Internet browser button The system powers on and accesses the Internet browser.
