Is the defect repeating at 94 mm? Perform the Remove Print Smears from the printer's front panel to clean the fuser. Reprint. Did this correct the problem? Check the front panel media settings. Is the customer using the correct setting for the media loaded in the tray? Try setting the front panel media type to the next lightest type of paper than that loaded in the tray. See "Fuser Temperature Settings" on page 8-237. Did this correct the problem? Remove the covers on the Fuser and ensure the thermistors are in contact with the upper and lower rollers. Use service diagnostics to run a test print and monitor the Fuser temperature. Is the temperature within it's optimal range? See "Fuser Temperature Settings" on page 8-237.
