Recording Your Performances and Creating Songs - Song Creator Recording Melodies - Step Record (Note) In this section, we'll show you how to use Step Recording by guiding you through this actual music example, shown at right. The operations here apply to step 6 on page 97. 1 1-2 While holding down this note... 1-1 Select this note. 1-3 ...press this (to input a tie). The notation display on the instrument (PSR-2000) may not be accurate, especially for tied notes or longer notes. To have the notation displayed accurately, set the gate time to tenuto by using the [H] button, and input the notes as desired. 2 2-2 2-3 2-4 2-1 Select this note. 3 3-1 Press this button to display the dotted notes. 3-3 3-2 Select this note. 4 4-1 Call up the normal notes by pressing this button. 4-3 4-2 Select this note. To input rests, simply move the measure/beat/clock location for the desired rest time, then input the next note. I Play back the newly created melody Use the [C] (L) button to move the cursor to the beginning of the song, and press the SONG [START/STOP] button to hear the newly entered notes.
