TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Cause Remedy This unit does not operate properly. The internal microcomputer has been frozen by an external electric shock (such as lightning or excessive static electricity) or by a power supply with low voltage. Disconnect the power cable from the AC wall outlet and then plug it in again after about 30 seconds. "CHECK SP WIRES" appears in the front panel display. Speaker cables are short-circuited. Make sure all speaker cables are connected correctly. There is noise interference from digital or radio frequency equipment. This unit is too close to the digital or highfrequency equipment. Move this unit further away from such equipment. The picture is disturbed. The video source uses scrambled or encoded signals to prevent dubbing. This unit suddenly enters the standby mode. The internal temperature becomes too high and the overheat protection circuitry has been activated. Noises can result from lightning, fluorescent lamps, motors, thermostats and other electrical equipment. A TV set is being used nearby. Check the antenna connections. Try using a high-quality directional FM antenna. Use the manual tuning method. Adjust the antenna position to eliminate multi-path interference. Use a high-quality directional FM antenna.
