Opening and closing Opening from outside Manual release If an electrical malfunction should occur, you can unlock the luggage compartment lid manually. Press the button on the luggage compartment lid or the button on the remote control for approx. 1 second: the luggage compartment lid opens. Closing Make sure that the closing path of the luggage compartment lid is clear, otherwise injuries may result.< 1. Grasp the rear seat 1 at the front edge and remove from the mounts 2. Take out the rear seat. 2. Pull the ring. The luggage compartment lid is unlocked and opens. The handle recesses on the interior trim of the luggage compartment lid make it easier to pull down. Only grasp the emergency release by the ring, otherwise injuries can occur.< Emergency release Reinstalling rear seat: Pull the lever in the cargo bay. The luggage compartment lid is unlocked. 1. Position the rear seat in the vehicle. Guide the two outer belt buckles 3 through the seat bench and slide the seat bench completely under the backrest. Press the button on the luggage compartment
lid or the
button on the remote control for

opens.
Closing
Make sure that the closing path of the
luggage compartment lid is clear, other-
wise injuries may result.

Emergency release
Pull the lever in the cargo bay. The luggage
compartment lid is unlocked.
Manual release
