Ventilation Tips 0 Rear Window Defogger The rear window defogger uses a warming grid to remove fog from the rear window. Press the knob to turn the defogger on. For mild outside temperatures when little heating or cooling is needed, use VENT direct outside air to through your vehicle. Keep the hood and front air inlet free of ice, snow or any other obstruction, such leaves. The heater and as defroster will work better, reducing the chance far of fogging the inside of your windows. When you enter a vehicle in cold weather, set the mode toFLOOR and the fan to the highest speedfor a few moments before driving This helps clear off. the intake ducts snow and moisture and reduces of the chanceof fogging the inside of your windows. Keep the air path under the front seats clear of objects. Thishelps a r to circulate throughout i your vehicle. 0 0 Defogging and Defrosting Your system has two settings clearing the front and for side windows. To defrost the windows quickly, use DEFROST with the temperature knob(s)all the way in the red area. To warm passengers while keeping the windows clean, use DEFOG. It will turn itselfoff after about 10 minutes. If you turn it on again,the defogger will only run for about five minutes before turningoff. You can also turnit off by turning off the ignitionor pressing the button again. Do not attach anything a temporary vehicle license like or decal across the defogger grid. 3-5
