Fuses INTERIOR UNDERHOOD (PRIMARY) UNDERHOOD (AUXILIARY) The interior fuse box is underneath the dashboard on the driver's side. There are two under-hood fuse boxes in the engine compartment. The primary under-hood fuse box is on the passenger's side next to the battery. To open it, push the two tabs as shown. The auxiliary fuse box is on the driver's side, near the brake fluid reservoir. To open it, push the tab on each side, and remove the lid. Checking and Replacing Fuses If something electrical in your vehicle stops working, check for a blown fuse first. Determine from the chart on pages 172 and 173 ,or the diagram on the fuse box lid, which fuses control that device. Check those fuses first, but check all the fuses before deciding that a blown fuse is the cause. Replace any blown fuses, and check if the device works. 170 Taking Care of the Unexpected
