Parking Brake, Adjustable Driver's Foot Pedals Adjustable Driver's Foot Pedals Driving the vehicle with the parking brake applied can damage the rear brakes and axles. A beeper will sound if the vehicle is driven with the parking brake on. On Touring models PEDAL POSITION ADJUSTMENT SWITCH To adjust the pedals: 1. Push and hold the top of the adjustment switch until pedals are closest to you. Instruments and Controls 2. Adjust your seat and the steering wheel so you can operate the controls and steering wheel easily. 3. Push and hold the bottom of the adjustment switch until pedals are in the position you can press them fully and comfortably. On Touring models only You will also see a ''RELEASE PARKING BRAKE'' message on the multi-information display (see page 89 ). You can adjust the position of the brake pedal and accelerator pedal when the shift lever is in the Park position. Push the top of the adjustment switch to move the pedals forward, and the bottom to move them backward. Do not adjust the pedals with your foot on or under either pedal. Make all adjustments before you start driving. 193
