Audio main operation Satellite radio: The satellite radio mode will be skipped unless an optional satellite receiver and antenna are installed. It may take some time to receive the activation signal after subscribing to the XM or SIRIUSTM satellite radio provider. After receiving the activation signal, an available channel list will be automatically updated in the radio. For XM , push the ignition switch from LOCK to ACC to update the channel list. Satellite radio is not available in Alaska and Hawaii. Head unit: The radio has an FM diversity reception system, which employs two antennas printed on the rear window. This system automatically switches to the antenna which is receiving less interference. The tape deck employs a permalloy head which allows for improved reproduction of high frequency ranges. Noise is also greatly reduced by the use of the Dolby B NR (Noise Reduction) system. The auto loudness circuit enhances the low fre- quency range automatically in both radio reception and tape and CD playback. ON OFF/Volume control: Turn the ignition key to ACC or ON, and then push the "AUDIO" on button while the system is off to call up the mode (radio, tape or CD) which was playing immediately before the system was turned off. While the system is on, pushing the "OFF" button turns the system off. Turn the volume control knob to adjust the volume. It may take some time to receive the activa-
tion signal after subscribing to the XM
or
SIRIUS
TM
satellite radio provider. After re-
ceiving the activation signal, an available
channel list will be automatically updated
in the radio. For XM
, push the ignition
switch from LOCK to ACC to update the
channel list.
Satellite radio is not available in Alaska
and Hawaii.
Head unit:
